Explorer 40 Steel Black Dial

A black dial in a 40mm Oystersteel case on the Oyster bracelet. Hours, minutes, seconds and nothing else. The reference was built for the 1953 Everest expedition and has changed less than anything in the range since.

The 3, 6 and 9 numerals are the only decoration on the dial and they are there because they read faster than markers do.
