Explorer II 'Polar' White Dial

The One They Call Polar.

A white dial with black surrounds on every marker, a fixed 24-hour bezel and an orange 24-hour hand. Collectors named it Polar and it has stayed the more sought after of the two dials since.

The 24-hour hand tells you which half of the day you are in, which matters when you have not seen daylight for a while. It doubles as a second time zone.
