Datejust 41 Black Dial Yellow Gold Jubilee

Black Under Gold.

A black dial with gold applied markers, under a fluted yellow gold bezel, on the five-link Jubilee in Rolesor. Black takes the gold down a level and stops the whole thing reading as ornament, which is why this is the configuration that has never gone out of production.

The fluting was originally functional, screwed down to seal the case, and it stayed once Rolex realised what it did to the light.
