Datejust 41 'Wimbledon' White Gold Fluted Oyster

Roman Numerals in Green.

A slate dial with green Roman numerals, under a fluted white gold bezel, on the three-link Oyster in Oystersteel. Collectors named it Wimbledon for the colours and nothing better has stuck since. Against white gold rather than yellow, the green reads cooler and the grey holds it flat.

Originally the fluting was functional, screwed down to seal the case. It stayed once Rolex realised what it did to the light.
