A black dial in a solid 18ct yellow gold case, mounted on the Oysterflex. All the metal, none of the bracelet, and the black dial keeps the whole thing from shouting.

The annual calendar reads the months through twelve apertures set around the dial, one lit for the month you are in. It tracks 30 and 31 day months on its own and needs correcting once a year.

The fluted bezel is not decoration. Rotating it selects what the crown adjusts, so the calendar, local time and reference time are all set from one crown.
