Case, bracelet and dial in 18ct Moonshine gold, an in-house alloy cast paler than standard yellow gold and engineered so the colour holds against fading. There is no steel anywhere on it.

The Moonwatch is the only watch NASA ever qualified for manned spaceflight, and it has been on every mission since 1965.
